Dakaas was founded in 2020 when our CEO Darshit Makasana noticed a recurring problem: Shopify merchants were spending thousands on apps that looked good in screenshots but failed in practice — slow to load, hard to configure, and impossible to get support for. He set out to build something better.
We started with a single seasonal effects app. Within months, we had thousands of installs and a clear signal: merchants wanted tools that were fast, simple, and backed by a team that actually responded. We've since expanded our catalogue to 5 published apps covering store protection, social proof, popups, and social media — averaging a 4.9★ rating across 2,234+ reviews.
